  • The Perioperative Clinical Action Network (PCAN) unites multidisciplinary surgical team members of all specialties and health regions across British Columbia to engage in supporting local and regional surgical solutions and quality improvement initiatives. PCAN's mission is to improve patient outcomes through best practice and innovation.

    Join us on November 1, 2026,from 6 PM to 8 PM for an evening poster session showcasing specialist physician-led projects. Explore leading-edge quality improvement work from across BC, including initiatives from PCAN and other clinical teams across the health system. Refreshments and a cash-bar will be available.

    On November 2, 2026, registration and breakfast begin at 7:00 AM, followed by a full day of programming from 8 AM to 5 PM. This is an opportunity to connect with colleagues and be inspired by leading experts in the perioperative care system. Presentations and breakout sessions will focus on PCAN’s four surgical priorities: patient prehabilitation, Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS), cancer care, and equitable access.

  • 16. I live over 50 km in one direction from the Summit venue (Sheraton Wall Centre Vancouver, 1000 Burrard Street, Vancouver, BC, V6Z 2R9) and will require accommodation.*
  • 17. I understand that if I am a physician attendee and need hotel accommodation, I am responsible to make a hotel reservation for one night, November 1, 2026 and to obtain the negotiated group rate by the deadline of October 2, 2026. Otherwise, any hotel booking will only be covered to a maximum of $410 for one night by the Specialist Services Committee.*
  • NOTE:

    -You will receive the hotel room booking link in the registration confirmation. ONLY the night of November 1, 2026, will be covered for reimbursement. If a BC physician requires a different accommodation arrangement due to travel needs, please contact sscbc@doctorsofbc.ca.

    -Additional nights, upgrades and incidentals will NOT be supported. The BC physician’s full name must be on the hotel folio/receipt.

    -Reminder email and follow up email will be sent with details on sessional and expense submissions. To receive payment, it is STRONGLY encouraged to submit right after the event to avoid processing delays.

    Submission deadline is February 3, 2027.
